Pension Profile Contains over 1,000,000 qualified retirement plans:
Information in Pension Profile is drawn directly from the IRS 5500 filing. Our source data includes basic information about the corporate sponsor:
|
Brief asset allocation by categories (not available from 5500R filings):
When available, Pension Profile includes information from several related schedules (A,B,C) as they relate to the specific plan filing. The Schedule A content differentiates a pension benefit from a welfare benefit plan. The schedule A attachment is required as part of the 5500 filing if the plan owns an insurance related product as an asset of trust. We tie this information back to the specific plan.
| Name of insurance carrier | Name of broker/agency |
| Commission paid | Type of product/policy |
| Amount of premiums paid | Number of persons covered |
For Welfare Benefit plans the Schedule A includes:
| Name of insurance carrier | Name of broker/agency |
| Commission paid | Type of benefit policy |
| Number of persons covered | Gross premiums paid |
| Claim | Expenses |
| Dividends | Claims reserves |
| Premiums non-expensed |
The required actuarial report for all defined benefit plans is reflected in the information found on the Schedule B:
| Name of actuary | Firm name and address |
| ER contribution | EE contribution amount |
| Actuarial cost method used | Established investment return % |
The schedule C attachment is necessary if services were rendered and expenses paid for with plan trust assets over $5,000. This schedule reflects:
| Name of the service provider |
| Type of services rendered |
| Amount of fees paid to provider |
| Name of first two plan trustees |
For plans with more than 100 participants, part of the 5500 filing includes an extensive financial statement with over 40 line items. Pension Profile pulls them ALL.
