    Marketing

EZ-DATATM was created to meet the informational needs of professionals marketing products and services to individual employee benefit plans.

It was designed and written to offer marketing professionals an easy and effective way to access and utilize this 5500-informational source.

As a result, EZ-DATATM is a utility program that contains basic functions relevant to extracting data: search, view, export, and print.

The selection criteria for searching allows the user to group prospects by size of assets, plan types, geographic zip codes, contribution amounts, last date of plan amendment and how long the plan has been in existence.

Once sorted, the user may review the group contents and print an individual record, but not the group of records.

To effectively use the targeted group, the user must create a data extraction for importing into another software program.

Keep in mind EZ-DATATM, is an information resource designed with basic utility functions to link this information into your other software programs.

    As a utility program,

EZ-DATA's primary purpose is to supply informational data records in several universally accepted formats for use in other software programs. Numerous generic file formats are available within the extraction routine for exporting data files (txt, sdf, dbf, xls, etc.).

A vast number of our customers use the contact management software ACT™. Therefore, EZ-DATA has a seamless extraction routine that extracts selected records, creates a new database in the ACT™ directory and transfers the data into ACT™.

The basic functions for maneuvering through this resource include:

SELECT: Determines how many records there are in any given universe by using any combination of the following sort criteria in ranges:

    Zip codes
    Asset Size
    Contribution amount
    Plan types
    Effective date of plan
    Last amendment date
    SIC business code (when available)
    Plan year end date

VIEW: Allows viewing of individual records prior to printing or exporting a group.

EXTRACT: After sort criteria have been selected and a data format chosen, this function creates a file for exporting and delivers it where directed by the user.

    ACT™ Users

can designate where they want the data to be delivered in a format compatible with ACT™ 2.0.

PRINT: Executes a screen print of the highlighted record once selected.

HELP: Provides how-to information about running EZ-DATA©.

Functions are easy to follow and use--hopefully without need for a manual. We have incorporated many time-saving features recommended by users of EZ-DATATM. We hope that the user finds EZ-DATATM a welcome addition to any marketing effort involving qualified plans, and we welcome your suggestions.
